Ethylene glycol gas phase catalytic oxidation method: ethylene glycol and air in the presence of copper catalyst, at 250-300℃ for catalytic oxidation, glyoxal generation: catalyst active group is divided into copper oxide (containing Cu03-8%), the carrier for alumina or with corundum, aluminum sand, with copper nitrate impregnation calcination. The service life is up to one year, and is regenerated by burning. Glycol was preheated and vaporized and mixed with circulating gas into the catalytic reactor to control the addition of fresh air and prevent the deep oxidation of ethylene glycol. Halogen compounds were brought into the reactor with nitrogen flow as the inhibitor of deep oxidation. The reaction was carried out at 275℃ and 0.74MPa pressure. Ethylene glycol has a one-way conversion rate of 80-85%.
What is Glyoxal Solution?
Glyoxal is usually sold as a 40% solution.
Uses of Glyoxal
In the Textile Industry
In the Paper Industry
In Medicine
Glyoxal can be cyclized with other compounds to obtain a series of widely used pharmaceutical raw materials. Glyoxal is cyclized with o-phenylenediamine to obtain benzopyrazine, which is an intermediate of anti-tuberculosis drug pyrazinamide.
